Established in 1974 by our founder, Michael Vann, Intercoat is an innovative creator of scientifically developed products supporting a range of coating purposes for many sectors.
FROM TRADING TO LEADERSHIP
Founded by Michael Vann in Walsall, West Midlands, Intercoat Industrial Paints began as a small trading company focused on metal finishes. It quickly grew into manufacturing, with innovations like the "one pot" lacquer that made it a leader in the wood finishing market by the 1980s.
EXPANSION & INNOVATION
Has always been at the core of Intercoat’s growth. The 1990s and 2000s saw the company adapt to environmental regulations, diversify its offerings, and introduce breakthrough products like EnviroLac and Speedline ranges.
