Registered Waste Paint Carriers and Transfer Service
At Intercoat, we specialise in the safe removal and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, offering tailored solutions for smaller volumes, from as little as a few 5-litre cans to larger quantities, such as IBCs. Our service is designed to support paint andcoatings customers with a seamless, one-stop waste management solution that no other manufacturer can match.
Certified Waste Transfer Station
Since 2005, our West Midlands facility has been a fully certified Waste Transfer Station, licensed to handle, treat, and co-ordinate the disposal of various waste streams.
Nationwide Collection
We hold a Waste Carriers license and operate our own fleet of vehicles, collecting hazardous and non-hazardous waste across the UK.
Technical Expertise
Our WAMITAB-certified team is highly trained to manage waste according to the latest regulations, with on-site laboratory staff available to analyse your waste streams.
Recycling and Disposal
Intercoat is committed to environmentally responsible waste management. Our Waste Transfer Station is licensed to handle three main categories of waste:
- Hazardous Waste: We specialise in recycling hazardous paint waste, recovering valuable solvents to produce highly efficient spray gun cleaners.
- Non-Hazardous Waste: Non-hazardous waste is processed as a polluted aqueous stream and treated accordingly.
- Used Packaging Waste: Containers that previously held hazardous materials are classified as hazardous waste and are processed under our license. We can collect your empty containers as part of your order delivery service.
Simplified Compliance with Legislation
Navigating waste disposal regulations can be complex. Our WAMITAB-certified experts provide all necessary documentation, making it easier for businesses using hazardous materials such as paints, inks, adhesives, and solvents to comply with legal requirements.
How to Arrange Waste Collection
The process of waste collection and disposal varies slightly depending on location. Once your waste has been classified as hazardous or non-hazardous, get in touch with us. If needed, we will arrange a site visit to collect samples for analysis.
1. Quotation
After the waste type and quantity are confirmed, we’ll provide a tailored quotation.
2. Documentation
We will prepare the necessary paperwork, either a two-part Consignment Note for hazardous waste or a Controlled Waste Transfer Note for non-hazardous waste, ensuring full compliance with regulations.
3. Collection
On the agreed date, we'll collect the waste and return it to our facility for inspection. You will be notified immediately if there are any issues with your waste.
